The Xiaomi Mi 5 was unveiled officially last week, and is set to go for sale on the 1st of March. Online registrations are open from last week and till now 14.4 million people have registered to buy the device which is quite a good figure. This is a new record for the company as they achieved this many registrations in just 5 days while it was expected beforehand.
Mi Fans have been waiting for this smartphone from past 18 months and Xiaomi has delivered exactly which they were looking for. Mi 5 comes with a 5.15 inch IPS display backed with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is loaded with the new qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The good news is that we have 2 variants to pick from, one with 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
Other specifications include a 4 megapixel front camera and 16 megapixel rear camera. The device is loaded with the company’s MIUI 7 OS, which is based on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
