From the past few months, the war between the smartphone brands seems to be closing but in spite of that we can smell a new cold fight rising up which is between the processors used by those companies. Recently we can see that most of the brands are using Snapdragon processors and the Snapdragon 820 has been the center of attraction. It was the Snapdragon 810 which was the most controversial mobile APs to hit the market.
It’s really good news for Qualcomm that 820 is not famous for the same reasons the 810 was infamous. According to the report company stats that the new Snapdragon is 50% more powerful and efficient than the Samsung’s Exynos 7420, that too even in single-threading tests. Exynos 7420 is the same processor which is used to power the Galaxy S6 and Note 5.
As per the words from the analyst Pan Jiutang, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is an advanced version of its older version and has a significant upgrade over the Samsung Exynos 7420 but if we look closely we can see that 820 competition is not with Exynos 7420 since Samsung is already working on Samsung 8990 or M1 which can be seen with Galaxy S7.
It’s been rumored that Galaxy S7 powered with the new Samsung processor can be seen official in January or February. After the revealing of Samsung M1 it would be a most desirable thing to see what Qualcomm has in its pocket. Don’t forget I will be updating you more with the news about this so stay tuned.
