The news of Snapdragon 820 is hitting the markets from a past few time, but it was revealed back in November when Qualcomm officially unveiled the chipset during an event in New York. After that several speculations are been made that this processor can power many of the flagship killers.
Before the original release of the processor in the real market, Snapdragon has introduced the chipset in China, where they showcased capabilities in AnTuTu’s latest benchmark (v6.0), Needless to say the results were impressive. The ranking spotted on a referenced phone with snapdragon 820 and the device scored 130,000 points which was far more than the top rated Apple A9x processor which has a record of 123,000 points.

The snapdragon 820 is built on a 14nm FinFET process and also features 4 64-bit custom Kyros cores clocked at 2.2 GHz. The chipset also covers Adreno 530 graphics card and LPDDR4 RAM support. It can be easily predicted that different companies are in the race to feature the snapdragon 820 but Samsung seems to be on top of that list.
